Life slows down and I realized my kids are gettin old!!! So many ups & downs with motherhood we have to really remember to enjoy every moment - even the chaotic ones!!Deb Lowtherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16020875046166358825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-688352809248317143.post-46514955351284048082010-11-19T10:29:46.704-05:002010-11-19T10:29:46.704-05:00Hi I'm coming from Canadian Moms website (Blog...Hi I'm coming from Canadian Moms website (Bloggy Mom's Group)

I absolutely love this post!. I only have one very busy toddler but I have postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. Those alone have definitely marred my perceptions of what type of mom that I wanted to be. Deep down behind the funk, I know that I'm a good mom. I know that I'm not perfect but at night when my little guy and I are snuggling and he unexpectedly whispers in my ear "Lube you momma", I know that he loves me and that is what matters.

Great post Girl!Kimberlyhttp://makemommygosomethingsomething.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-688352809248317143.post-61374261116833274582010-11-19T09:58:44.419-05:002010-11-19T09:58:44.419-05:00What an awesome post! I left my office job that had me racing to work when the kids were in school - I realized it is more important now than ever to be here for them and for me!! I want to enjoy these years and make memories . . not just survive them and clean up messes!!!Deb Lowtherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16020875046166358825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-688352809248317143.post-70957464221493514722010-11-18T12:33:31.220-05:002010-11-18T12:33:31.220-05:00Beth, You got it right on both sides - harder than...Beth, You got it right on both sides - harder than any of us thought but also more rewarding then you could imagine!! So many different challenges we all have as moms. I had a couple of step moms so I can understand that dynamic from a child's perspective! We are so a work in progress . . .motherhood is not a destination, but a journey!!Deb Lowtherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16020875046166358825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-688352809248317143.post-91672442086218991222010-11-18T00:00:30.431-05:002010-11-18T00:00:30.431-05:00You just described my life. Hold tight to these years, because soon they'll be teenagers, and you're rushing will be over. You'll take a breath and say, 'where'd they all go? What do I do now?'Mara Shapiro (@chickymara)http://booksandbrands.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-688352809248317143.post-30939464928961469362010-11-17T23:26:52.238-05:002010-11-17T23:26:52.238-05:00No! It's a lot tougher than I had ever imagined but being a mother brings me more joy and satisfaction than I ever imagined possible. I also never imagined that I would have a son from my first marriage a son with my current hubby and a step-daughter... which is a whole other challenge-being a step-parent. I'm definitely not perfect, nor do I pretend to be. I like to think of myself as a work in progress. At the end of the day, my kids know how much I love them and that I am always there for them.Beth Christiehttp://suburbanchicmom.bloodspot.canoreply@blogger.com
